Notes to Outlook Conversion

Address Magic Enterprise PLUS (AME) provides a complete solution for migrating email, calendars and address books from Lotus Notes to Outlook for 100 to 100,000 mailboxes. AME is designed to minimize deployment costs by running hands-off with its unique Configure Once, Run Everywhere design. Example

The best way to demonstrate the Notes to Outlook conversion capabilities is with a short example. AME is command line based to simplify automation. Wizards are useful for getting started, but aren't a viable solution for migrating thousands of users.

Here's how to convert a user's address book to the Outlook Contacts folder on a client workstation:

C:\> addrload nsf pst

That's it. AME finds all of the files, finds the servers, finds the folders, the Notes ID file, the Outlook profile - it's all automatic.

Now we'll add the commands to convert the Notes archive file to a PST file, then the Domino mailbox and the calendar/tasks to the Exchange mailbox:

C:\> addrload -m nsf Archive.pst
C:\> addrload -mr nsf:server!! pst

The only prerequisites are Outlook and Lotus Notes. AME did not have to be installed or preconfigured to run the above commands.

Address Book Features (All versions)
Supported Fields		All compatible fields are converted to Outlook, even fields like Birthday and Comments.
SMTP Addresses		All Lotus Notes email addresses are resolved to their respective SMTP addresses. Names in distribution lists will be resolved to public address books if necessary.
Distribution Lists		Distribution lists are converted, including one-offs, local members, and public address book members.
iNotes Support		Server-side iNotes address books are fully supported.
PDA Compatibility		Contacts in Outlook are formatted to Outlook standards to ensure that synchronization applications will have the correct data to perform PDA synchronization.

Market Leading Performance		Uses the lowest-level programming interfaces for the highest possible performance. A recent test on a circa-2007 desktop converted 21MB/minute from NSF to PST and 30MB/minute from NSF to Exchange.
Minimize Output Size		The size of the converted messages is minimized with judicious use of styles and native MIME support.
Folder Hierarchy		The Lotus Notes folder structure is duplicated in the PST files.
Rich Text		Rich Text messages are correctly converted.
MIME Messages		MIME messages are accurately converted without first converting them to Rich Text.
Attachments		Attachments are preserved,

Date Conversion		Dates such as sent, received, and downloaded are converted, including time zone compensation.
