Which Email Application Am I Using?
This page is for AOL users to help you determine which email application you are using so you can determine whether ePreserver will help you transfer your contacts and email.
Note that ePreserver also transfers your favorites from AOL to Internet Explorer. This always works, it does not matter which email application you use.
1. Outlook Express
| Outlook Express is the most common software that people use for e-mail. It is free and is included with Microsoft Windows XP. It is supported by most Internet Service Providers (ISPs).
Outlook Express is fully supported by ePreserver and by Address Magic. |

2. Windows Live Mail

Windows Live is a popular free download
from Microsoft. It is supported by most Internet Service Providers (ISPs).
Windows Live Mail is not supported by any of Connected Software's products. |

3. Microsoft Outlook
| Microsoft Outlook is included with Microsoft Office. Outlook is supported by most Internet Service Providers (ISPs).
Although it looks similar to Outlook Express, you can recognize Outlook because it has a Calendar and a Notes folder. Microsoft Outlook is fully supported by ePreserver and by Address Magic. |

4. Gmail
Gmail is Google's email service. You usually access Hotmail using your browser. Gmail is fully supported by ePreserver and by Address Magic. |

5. Yahoo (classic)
Yahoo email in your browser. Yahoo email is not supported by any of Connected Software's products. |

6. Yahoo (new version)
Yahoo email (classic interface) in your browser. Yahoo email is not supported by any of Connected Software's products. |

7. Windows Live Hotmail
| Hotmail is Microsoft's email service. You usually access Hotmail using your browser.

8. Comcast
| Comcast is a popular Internet Service Provider (ISP) for Broadband.
ePreserver will not work with the web-based version of Comcast email (seen at right.) However, you can switch to Outlook Express to read your Comcast email and ePreserver will work fine. Go to Comcast's support site and click "configure Outlook Express for Comcast Mail" under "e-mail". |
