Address Magic Personal can convert both address books and email to Gmail from any supported source, including Outlook, Windows Mail, Eudora, and Lotus Notes.
The steps below are for Build 394 (run Address Magic and click the About button to find out what build you are running.) If you are running an older Build, please download the free upgrade:

Please follow these steps to convert an address book:
- You must have the .Net Framework 2.0 installed.
- Run Address Magic Personal.
- For Source format, choose your desired source.
- For Destination format, choose Gmail.
- Let Address Magic finish.
- Open Gmail in your browser.
- Click on "Contacts" on the left side of the page.
- See your contacts and groups!
Please follow these steps to convert your email: (Requires Address Magic Personal PLUS.)
- If you are running Windows 2000, you must have Build 396 or later of Address Magic.
- Run Address Magic Personal PLUS.
- Choose Message conversion.
- For Source format, choose your desired source.
- For Destination format, choose Gmail.
- Click Next and Finish.
- Enter your Gmail email address and password when prompted.
- Conversion will proceed automatically.
Important!
- To convert to Gmail, messages must be individually uploaded. The speed of this process is completely dependent on the speed that you can upload, which is usually AT LEAST ten times slower than you can download. Therefore, converting messages to Gmail can take several hours.
- Gmail has a 40 character limit on the names of folders. Therefore, Address Magic will "flatten" your folder hierarachy to make it fit. For more information, please see Knowledge Article #126.
