How to convert to Gmail with Address Magic

Address Magic Personal can convert both address books and email to Gmail from any supported source, including Outlook, Thunderbird, Windows Mail, and Lotus Notes.

Please follow these steps to convert an address book:

  1. You must have the .Net Framework 4.5 installed (or the .Net Framework 4.0 for Windows XP.)
  2. Run Address Magic Personal.
  3. For Source format, choose your desired source.
  4. For Destination format, choose Gmail.
  5. Let Address Magic finish.
  6. Open Gmail in your browser.
  7. Click Mail (in red) on the top left of the page, then select "Contacts".
  8. See your contacts and groups. You may need to click "Other Contacts" on the left, or select other tags depending on the categories you used in your source address book.

Please follow these steps to convert your email: (Requires Address Magic Personal PLUS.)

  1. Run Address Magic Personal PLUS.
  2. Choose Message conversion.
  3. For Source format, choose your desired source.
  4. For Destination format, choose Gmail.
  5. Click Next and Finish.
  6. Enter your Gmail email address and password when prompted.
  7. Conversion will proceed automatically.

Important!

  • To convert to Gmail, messages must be individually uploaded. The speed of this process is completely dependent on the speed that you can upload, which is usually AT LEAST ten times slower than you can download. Therefore, converting messages to Gmail can take several hours.
